COMMUNITY SOLAR GARDEN

WHAT IS COMMUNITY SOLAR

community solar garden is typically a large scale solar installation that allows individuals or businesses (subscribers) to obtain their energy from solar even if they are not able to utilize their home/roof. The Solar gardens output is fed directly into the utility via an interconnection to the grid.  Based upon the output of the system, the subscribers portion of the gardens production will be credited on their bill from the utility.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Community solar is a simple way to enjoy clean renewable energy at a price that beats your current utility bill.

Greenway Solar’s community solar gardens are for those that want to save money while pursuing a greener way to consume energy, but do not want to put up with hassle of panels on your roof or do not have a home suitable for solar panels. You, along with others who are committed to renewable energy, subscribe to a percentage of energy produced by our community solar garden to receive credits towards your utility bill.

CHART

HOW MUCH SOLAR IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Greenway Solar wants to work with you to help you decide if going green with renewable energy from a community solar garden is right for you.

A typical Minnesota home uses 800 kilowatt-hours (kWh) a month. That means with no upfront cost the typical Minnesota home could save $125 the first year of switching to community solar garden. Using this clean energy is also equivalent to planting 169 trees and offsetting 15,500 miles of car emissions. And those statistics are only from the first year!
